CFCA
CFCA runs two member directories on their WordPress site, built on Paid Memberships Pro's Member Directory Add On: a members-only directory for looking up individual people, and a public directory of member companies. D4 built a small companion plugin that gives each directory its own independent search and A-Z browsing, without touching the original PMPro setup.
The challenges:
- PMPro's Member Directory Add On only supported one shared search setup across both directories, so searching in one could interfere with the other.
- The members-only directory needed to search only by person, while the public company directory needed to search only by company - each with its own sort order.
- The paywall on the members directory and the public visibility of the company directory both had to keep working exactly as before.
Implementation
D4 built a small companion plugin alongside the existing directory plugin, so nothing in the original plugin had to be changed or put at risk. Each directory received independent search and A-Z browsing - the members directory searching only people, the company directory searching only companies.
The changes were tested on a staging copy of the site, verified against CFCA's requirements, then released to the live site with support on hand.

The paywall on the members directory and public access to the company directory continued working without interruption throughout.
