The Organizzazione Produttori di Mitili represents mussel-farming producers and needed more than a single homepage. It needed a professional website that could represent the organization as a whole while giving each member producer a place within it, plus an interactive map showing where producers are located. D4 Hub created a structured WordPress website with a custom interactive map, UI/UX design, hosting, email, GDPR compliance, and ongoing maintenance, giving visitors a clearer way to understand the organization and its producer network.
The challenges:
- No consolidated digital presence existed for the cooperative as a whole
- The site needed to represent multiple individual member producers within one coherent structure, not just the organization in the abstract
- Visitors needed an intuitive way to see where member producers are located geographically
- Mussel farming is a niche industry with few existing website models to draw on
Implementation
The organization needed a single place where visitors could understand who it represents, what its producers offer, and how the network is distributed. A simple homepage would not have been enough to give the organization and its individual producers the visibility they needed.
D4 Hub designed and built a multi-page WordPress website with a clear structure for the organization, its producers, products, news, and contact information. The site was designed to make the cooperative easier to understand for people discovering it for the first time.
The central feature is a custom interactive map showing where producers are located. Instead of asking visitors to work through an unstructured list, the map gives them a visual understanding of the cooperative's geographic footprint and lets them connect individual producers to the wider organization.
